We were referred to the owners by Toscano Constructions and became involved early, meeting with the family in their original home before construction began. Working alongside the architectural plans by OH Architecture, we focused on shaping a landscape that would feel like a private tropical retreat while still giving the family practical space to live in. With podium gardens wrapping the upper levels and polished concrete forming a strong architectural base, the brief was clear. Create something lush, low maintenance and highly usable, with room for yoga, a basketball court and open space for the kids to run around.

The finished landscape balances bold structure with layered planting across three levels. Cascading tropical and Australian native varieties soften the raw concrete edges, while 32mm prestige synthetic turf and a high tech irrigation system with rain sensor keep maintenance simple and efficient. A regulation basketball court anchors the backyard, and considered garden lighting brings the entire space to life after dark. The result is a practical family environment with real presence. It feels relaxed, purposeful and built to be enjoyed every day, without ever losing its architectural edge.
